What BuySignal is

BuySignal is an independent product-review publication. We research digital and physical products, document them against a consistent structure, and publish the result so that a reader can reach a confident decision in ten minutes instead of losing an evening to a dozen contradictory blog posts.

We are a publication, not a shop. We do not sell any product on this site, we do not process payments, and we do not hold inventory. When you decide to buy something you read about here, you buy it from the company that makes it, on their own site, under their own terms.

What we cover

Our coverage sits in a fairly specific corner of the market:

• Digital products and software — courses, tools, templates, subscriptions and downloadable products sold through marketplaces such as ClickBank, Digistore24, JVZoo and WarriorPlus.
• Consumer products available through Amazon Associates and Impact-affiliated merchants.
• Comparisons — head-to-head write-ups where two or three products genuinely compete for the same buyer.
• Buying guides — category overviews that explain what actually matters before you shortlist anything.

We publish in the categories where we can add something. If a category is crowded with excellent independent coverage already, or if we cannot get enough reliable information to say anything useful, we leave it alone.

How BuySignal started

BuySignal began as a private research file. Working through digital product marketplaces, the same frustration kept surfacing: sales pages that promised everything, "review" sites that were plainly rewritten sales pages, and scores that seemed to correlate with commission rates rather than quality. The file grew into a set of notes on what to check before buying — refund windows, what the upsell path actually looks like, who the product genuinely suits, what it quietly does not include.

That checklist became the review structure you see on every product page today. The publication exists to apply it consistently and in public.

How we research a product

Every product page is built against the same dimensions, in the same order, so that two reviews can be compared fairly:

1. What it is. A plain-language description of the product, its format, and the claims its own marketing makes — separated clearly from our assessment of those claims.
2. Pricing. The entry price, the billing model, what sits behind an upsell or a higher tier, and the refund terms as published by the merchant at the time we last verified them.
3. Audience fit. Who this genuinely serves, at what level of experience, and — just as important — who should skip it.
4. Strengths. What the product does well, stated concretely enough to be checked.
5. Limitations. Where it falls short, what it does not include, and the trade-offs a buyer accepts.
6. Alternatives. What else solves the same problem, including free options and including cases where the honest answer is "you do not need to buy anything".

Where an editor has assigned a score, it summarises that structured judgement. Where no score appears, none was assigned — we never publish an automatically generated rating. The full method is documented in our editorial policy.

Who this site is for

BuySignal is written for a reader who is close to a decision and wants the unglamorous details: what it costs after the first month, whether it suits a beginner, what the refund window really is, and what the marketing left out. If you want a list of superlatives, there are faster sites than ours.

What we will never do

• We will never sell coverage. No company can pay to be reviewed, to be reviewed sooner, or to be reviewed favourably.
• We will never sell a score. Ratings are editorial and are not negotiable at any price.
• We will never invent testing. If a page describes hands-on use, that use happened. If we have not used a product, the page says so.
• We will never fabricate urgency. No countdown timers on offers that do not expire, no invented scarcity, no fake testimonials, no imaginary "only 3 left" counters.
• We will never publish an AI-written review. Our articles and assessments are written by people. See the editorial policy for the detail.

How BuySignal makes money

Some outbound links on this site are affiliate links. If you click one and go on to buy, the merchant or their affiliate network may pay us a commission. The price you pay is identical either way — the commission comes out of the merchant's margin, not your wallet.

That revenue funds the research, the writing and the hosting. It does not buy influence over what we cover or what we conclude, and the commercial side of the site is kept structurally separate from editorial verdicts. Accuracy and corrections

Product facts change constantly — prices move, features are removed, refund windows are quietly shortened. Every page carries its published date, its last updated date and, where applicable, the date its facts were last verified against official sources.
